I like to walk along the riverfront and look for some of the more creative names for boats. We get alot of boat traffic this time of year because of the snowbirds making their way back up north after spending the winter in Florida. The Amelia River is part of the Intracoastal Waterway and we're the last stop in Florida so this is a really active time. Some even come in off of the water to spend the night at our inn so that they can sleep in a real bed and take a real shower. We even catch some of them on their migratory path in both directions.
Note to non-Floridians: Snowbirds are people who flee the snow up north for the winter to spend several months in the favorable Florida climate.
