Egan's Creek Greenway runs through the center of the island. The land was purchased and preserved by the City of Fernandina. With the rate at which land in most parts of of Florida is being developed these days, we're grateful that we've preserved at least this much of it. This has been an excellent use of taxpayer dollars.
