It's amazing that half a world away, a small harbor in a small town will still look very much the same as in Fernandina. This is in Juneau, Alaska, but it could really be anywhere. The fishing boats are coming and going, the birds are following the boats hoping for a handout, everyone is talking about the weather and the serenity that comes with the waterfront is palpable. If it wasn't for the fleece and gloves that I was wearing in July, this might have been Fernandina.
