Consistent with our history, we're not at all feeling the brunt of Fay. Our neighbors to the south have not been so lucky and they've gotten quite a bit of water. Even Jacksonville has had quite a bit more rain and wind than we have. In fact, our neighbors across the street live in Jacksonville during the week and come to their island house on the weekends but they came over today to escape the power outages in Jacksonville. This is Gil Langley, our director of tourism, telling everyone to come on down, we'll be happy to have ya.

Wow, you guys were lucky! Amy and I were INCHES away from flood water in our house. Hopefully we'll forget all about that when we see you in November for the breakfasts, cookies, ice cream, doughnuts and coffee, cheesecakes, and various sugary goodies.... Ernest.
Yes we were lucky. Glad you guys got some last minute luck too.
