We keep a bowl of cat food on our front porch for the strays in the neighborhood, but they're usually cats. This guy, however, has become a regular and frequently visits at the same time as the cats. There seems to be quite the symbiotic relationship between cats and raccoons, at least around here. They'll sit together on the porch and contemplate the day's events. The fun ends though when the raccoon uses the rest of the drinking water to wash his face.

Oh my word!
This reminds me of something that happened to me about 18 yrs. ago.
We lived out in the country with about 40 acres. We also had outdoor cats and left a bowl of food and water out for them.
Our visitor was a possum! and he came back everyday and ate with the cats! He became very friendly and we could actually go out on the porch and watch him.
