Christmas Racoon

Each year, round about this time, Fairbanks House seems to get an abundance of visits from the Christmas raccoon.  He shows up when the Christmas lights come on, climbs up the side of the front porch, finishes off all of the food from the cat bowls and then just enjoys the decorations.  When I shoo him away, he doesn't go very far, and then comes right back up on the porch to enjoy the view.  And who could blame him?  There's actually a gang of three raccoons that follow the trail of the cat food bowls set out by neighbors for feral cats, but this seems to be the only one that stays for the show.  We've always known that we're providing a community service by putting out such a nice light display, but I've never realized how broad the community reach is that we've achieved.  Merry Christmas, Ricky.
